Pregnant ladies and mommies, what has your spouse/partner done for you lately?
I’m 27 weeks pregnant with our third child. For the past few months things have been pretty hectic with this pregnancy. About two weeks after we found out we were pregnant one of the fillings in my tooth came out, then the tooth itself broke. I was in major pain but no dentist would treat me because of my pregnancy. In November I started having unexplained bleeding that no one could figure out but my baby was still healthy and active. I was raised to "slightly-risky" pregnancy and told I couldn’t lift anything heavier than my infant daughter (who at the time weighed 15 pounds). I wasn’t even allowed to carry baskets of laundry up and down the stairs (which is necessary in our home to do the laundry).
Well, I got the flu, then a couple weeks later I got a stomach bug that laid me out for three days, two weeks after that I finally managed to get a dentist to consent to taking care of my tooth after my OB practically forced him to, and now, a week later, I’m down with the nastiest cold I’ve ever had (it’s actually better today than yesterday).
My husband has been amazing through all of this. He works all day and comes home and takes care of our two older children while I cook, work on homework (I’m a full time college student as well), or take a nap, or whatever I need to do at the time. Yesterday he completely cleaned and rearranged our bedroom because it was driving me nuts. I felt awful but still did laundry and took care of our two daughters, but he worked his butt off and did it just for me.
So what is something sweet or supportive your honey has done for you lately? Let’s give the spouses/partners a shout out for all their hard work!
I don’t think dad’s to be get much credit on here. With all of us venting about how dumb they are or how they piss us off for the dumb things they do. My fiance is awesome. He works all day comes home does the dishes, not hard we have a dishwasher but still. He rubs my feet and my back without having to ask. He doesn’t let me carry anything. He cleaned the whole house this weekend and actually did a semi decent job. He deals with my crazy hormones and emotions with no problem. We are all so lucky to have men that actually care and try their best to help out.

Don’t you just love having such a sweet husband? With this baby i’m not on bed rest as I was the first one, but he does anything I ask. I stay tired with this baby, he comes home from work and watches our daughter for me to get a little down time. Now if I could just get his parents to move out lol.

My husband was amazing the in start by holding my hair when I threw up, buying lots and lots of bulk candy because it was all I could eat, and Subway lol. He also drove 4 hours away with me to get some Dairy Queen I was craving. He’s been rubbing my feet, he works 60 hours a week heavy duty job so it’s amazing he still finds time to love me and take care of me
Lately he’s been helping me with being careful on the ice, getting out of the truck, getting out of bed, keeping me entertained. He’s been over all amazing and I love him.

well i’m only 4wks+6 - my partner has been really supportive since we found out last week (surprise!) but I don’t think it’s completely sunk in for him yet.
He is looking at houses as we speak as the house we live in at the moment he feels isn’t suitable for our new wee family!

Boy, our pregnancy’s are very alike. However my husband is not the household helper type. He takes care of me in other ways though. I know that all of our bills are paid, I have a new car that runs every time I start it, my house is always warm and my belly is always full. He has run out and gotten me cravings and attempted to hold my hair back when I puke. (I kick him out, sorry but I feel like I have lost enough appeal as it is without being butt up heaving chunks in front of him..lol) He has taken me shopping for maternity clothes and bought me this and that for the baby without a fight but most of all he allows me the chance to stay at home to raise our kids. (I worked 3 jobs for most of my life so being able to relax and raise my kids is a dream come true) Mostly I think what he has done for me the most is offer me safety and security through it all and for that I am thankful. It is important to appreciate the little things.
